Beneath the surface lies a story waiting to be discovered. Through careful review of past studies, geological maps, and historical insights, we traced the footsteps of earlier exploration. On-ground visits helped us decode the land’s hidden language – its rock types, its mineral whispers, and the rhythm of its terrain. Understanding what already exists from settlements to land patterns, unlocked a deeper layer of context. It’s more than just geology; it’s a journey of learning what the land tells us and what mineral potential it holds for the future.
This phase encapsulated the need to assess whether further exploration is required, including detailed mapping, drilling and sampling operations, followed by necessary geophysical exploration methodologies. It involved the preparation of an exploration budget and cost evaluation. Additionally, it highlights the importance of evaluating mining strategies, developing mining schemes, and conceptualizing a mine plan. The phase also hints at the preparation of a production calendar, outlining mine development, operations and mine closure activities, ensuring a complete approach to the mining project’s lifecycle and strategic planning – from early exploration to long-term planning.
A comprehensive technical assessment covered key mining parameters including geological and mining losses, ensuring optimal reserve extraction. It evaluated water and power requirements essential for sustainable operations. Mine closure planning was integrated with statutory compliance to ensure environmental and legal obligations were met. Risk identification spanned geotechnical, operational, and environmental domains, with tailored mitigation strategies to minimize impact. This holistic approach ensured efficient, compliant, and resilient mining activity while safeguarding natural resources and community interests throughout the project lifecycle.
Using the collected geo-mining data, a comprehensive financial evaluation of the Salepali Graphite Block was performed. This analysis includes indicative estimates for Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Operational Expenditure (OPEX), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF). The evaluation spanned across the entire value chain – covering exploration, mining, mineral processing, and logistical considerations. These financial metrics provided key insights into the project’s viability, long-term profitability, and potential return on investment, forming a strategic foundation for decision-making in the process of decision-making for bidding of the block and future development.
